Feasibility and an initial estimate
We check what your section allows, from sun and access to services and zoning, and can give you an initial estimate during the visit.

Design your home
Choose from the Navigation Homes range of designs and shape it to your section, or start fresh with the team. For custom plans, the build quote is firmed up once concept plans are drawn, before you sign a build contract.

Consents and demolition
The team helps with council consents, then your old home is removed and the site is prepared.

Build and move in

What happens next
How much does a knock down and rebuild cost?
It depends on your section, the design you choose and what’s needed to prepare the site. Your local team can give you an initial estimate during your free site assessment. Site works are included as provisional sums until plans are drawn. For custom plans, the build quote is firmed up once concept plans are drawn, before a build contract is signed. Your local team can explain the process in more detail.
Do you handle the demolition?
Yes. Navigation Homes can remove your existing home and prepare the site, so you have one team looking after the project from start to finish.
What about council consents?
Your local team checks what your section allows and helps with the consents needed for demolition and your new build.
Where will we live during the build?
You’ll need somewhere else to stay while your new home is built. The team can give you an idea of timeframes at the site visit so you can plan ahead.
Can I use my own design?
Yes. Many clients start with a Navigation Homes design and change it to suit, but the team can also talk through a design of your own. For custom plans, the build quote is firmed up once concept plans are drawn, before a build contract is signed. A fee applies for concept plans.
